OTIS, the Van

Internal Fit-out

Otis is a holiday van equiped with a double bed, cooking unit, working desk, space for a surfboard and multiple storage units. The design was created around the main desire for flexibility, lightness and spatiouness. Organised aournd an fixed L-shaped unit, the bed is extantable with a sliding system of slats. Under the fixed unit lie removable storage boxes and a sliding cooking unit to the rear of the van. Behind the driving sits, another fixed unit of shelves finishes the design with a working desk and extra storage. The designe-build project is product of a collaboration between BRAFFA, UX designer Kyoko Locussol and product designer Lou Mutsaers-Hoyte. Otis is now being made at Lou’s workshop.
